check engine lights-modded cars

this irritable fault code kept appearing on n off for the last month,so i finally brought the car in to the dealership.the head mechanic plug in the obd n quickly come to the conclusion its the exhaust.he further explain that the 02sensors will trigger off these codes n only remedy is to return to stock.on the same note,he told me thats its safe to continue using it unless the cel is flickering instead of the solid light.question is-how many of you continue to drive with this cel?

I have never had a check engine light. What exhaust are you using?

That does not sound right to me, I recently had the CEL come on after installing my 4th aftermarket exhaust. The mechanic plugged in and found one of my sensors was failing ( there are 4 of them ). He replaced the faulty sensor and no problems .

Are you running the 300 or 100 cell cats? BTW how do you like the AWE exhaust?

........not a chance. The part and install of the sensor was completely out of my pocket.
