Anyone with experience?....I recall a thread awhile back on Renn....were there some quality issues or all OK?
Thanks in advance

My only issue is that the CF wing as supplied from Speedtech does not have the indent for the center brake light hump. This causes contact when lowered at that point, unless you shim the wing higher, which is not an ideal solution in my opinion.

Hump is on cab?
I do not see this issue on coupe but maybe I'm mussunderstanding.

In fact was looking how rams might be altered to allow slightly lower limet in the full-down position....gap right now appears to be around 1".

I'm pretty sure its the same setup on the cab as the coupe. There is a small rise in the deck to allow room for the center brake light assembly.. about a foot+ long. The stock wing is relieved there to fit flush. The CF unit from Speedtech is not. Your stock wing should come down flush. How much stroke do you get from your cylinders? If your stock wing is sitting up 1", the CF wing I have would probably not hit the light housing hump.

I have the same problem with the light housing hump.... I hate the wing not sitting flush so I just let it touch, not even sure I like how it looks in the up position at all but fully down it hangs over a little and makes the car look a little tougher in my opinion. If I personally could do it over again, I would spend a little extra money and get the real wing. I am going to change out for a GT2 decklid as soon as I find a good deal on one. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, gotta say that overall I'm disappointed with the wing. I may go back to stock or try to fix this one.The amount of work involved in modifying probably makes the real wing a bargain.

Gregg, I would go for the strosek. haven't seen one in person, but it looks great in pictures.

I have a real Techart wing, painted Arctic Silver, perfect shape that I'm willing to trade or sell to anyone who will buy me one of these + $200 for prep and paint (or $800), the Techart does not have the indent to clear the stock winglet either. If you've seen the prices on real techart wing you will know that this is a total bargain, but then the parts are built and fit like factory.

Webtool, I have never seen any aftermarket spoiler that sits flush. They all have about a 1/8" to 3/8" gap to let air through when the wing is down. Otherwise the aftermarket wing will "trap" the air that goes between it and the bigger wing. Maybe not an issue at below 75MPH...

I see the main difs as subtle....and as **** as I am, have studied many pics of both.
Personally see the Strosek type as wider (front to rear) especially at the center of the car.....and also that the Strosek type has a slightly dif angle of attack (trailing edge flips up quite a bit...at that 'wide' point). Lastly, the Schnell has a slightly dif side profile.

These are the 3 main reasons I feel the Schnell compliments the car lines a tad better.....all subjective of course.
But I also know.....if I make one work, I'll spend more on modding it....than buying it .

ari.....per the 'trapping'......the OE wing probably was almost a 1/8th gap.....and all due respect I guess I have my doubts whether any of these have undergone stringent wind-tunnel tests.

BTW....and also IMHO, the best real Strosek wing ever.........in my avatar.

Great analysis Gregg and I agree In terms of the best real strosek wing, I'll have to concur on that as well
