turbo boost vs. diverters
I have a stock 04 996 turbo. My boost now peaks at 7 and it used to peak at 8. If my oem diverter valves are beginning to fail does it cause a drop in my boost or an increase over previously normal levels? Thanks for your advice.
If your seeing .7 where you always see .8 (same throttle position etc..) especially on a hot engine. Then chances are that your DV are leaking boost. I had this issue recently where it was .8 then .7 then one morning I could not go over .5. Changed out to AWE units and problem solved. I am now back to .8bar. Once you see the factory units you will ask yourself did that really come from a porsche or better why would they stick such POS units in.
