02-03 turbo reliability

No issues except my accumulator, fixed via an evoms gt2 upgrade kit, and my 2nd gear popped out, fixed via a DAS customized rebuild of my tranny covered under warranty with modifications to the fork made to prevent the problem. My PCM1 nav system died and I put in an AVIC D3x system, which is current to 2009 spec (bt, xm nav, usb, etc.). Being an 02 in my case, this was made much easier because the audio system was copper and not fiber optic....so I am biased and think the 02 leaves a lot more on the table for audio upgrades that don't break the bank. Not much else was changed.
Otherwise, car has been perfect. The above are known issues and fixing them is not "a secret" to find out.
Whoever gets my car, is going to get a car with NO know issues now or likely in the future. I use it every day and it never lets me down.

I have to ask the question because the Range Rover guys flat out told me I was doomed for failure and not to get one unless I wanted it to be in the shop every month. so I am very glad I asked before I bought one of those.

I had a range rover classic lwb. No issues at all in 2.5 years, 140k miles...20 by me.
Just traded it for a disco 2002 SE, 70k miles, net cost to me, $200. That is not a typo.
No issues except it needs new pads and rotors...another 400.
Ug. Big hit.
It is about having a good mechanic and/or skills. No issues. I can fit my hands into rover hoods. The TT...that is tough to get into, but it is a super reliable car. And it looks super too. Did I mention fun to trive anywhere in any weather.
