Trippin' in my 996tt
Trippin' in my 996tt
So the wife and I had. Booked a mini vacation to Va.beach which is about three hours from home. I wasn't sure if we were ready for sucha trip in the car but here we are! Making this car more civil was the best thing for us!! Unfortunately the weather has been abit iffy and I am out numbered...Bunch of corvettes showed up at the hotl were staying at! Must be a club gathering!
The trip down was cool and the car got lots of love on the way down! Not to mention 26mpg!
More later!

I hear you Mike, the little bit of drone my car has been "fun" at highway speeds. Thankfully it is completely removed by simply speeding up to 75MPH but in the 65mph zones I was traversing this was not so easy. My system appears to be two distinct "cans", I cannot help but wonder if placing a merge between them would be enough to solve the issue. On Mustangs we used to add a second crossover pipe that managed to move the RPM at which drone occured to a more reasonable level. Currently my two exhaust sides to not mix and I cannot help but wonder if doing so might help?
That said, congrats on the fun family vacation! I don't see doing the same in my car anytime soon (lol) but once I'm more confident I'd love to get out more with it. I agree these cars catch looks and sure seem to have the performance to match :-)

as you well know blkmgk, cruising at 75 on most of the roads near you and I can get expensive!
I'm extremely happy with the minimal loss of power and more civility!!
I think your only solution is a europipe stage2 quiet! I have had four systems on my car in twenty eight months and I have only been happy with the stock system!
