I run the T1R in 315/25-19 (currently just over $300; PS2 about $600). It's not acting like a cheap tire; good wet & dry grip, wearing well.
I was so used to Tirerack I almost missed the TOYOs (TR doesn't sell them). The diameter (from their website) for the T1R 315/25 is 25.2", 235/35 is 25.5" (well within specification for the tt).

I believe both the 452 and T1R both run in 315.

I wanted to try Sumi's but their largest size was 295.

I dd see the Falken FK-452 and the Toyo-T1R, both are roughly equivalent pricing. Curious to know what others recommend...

Thanks...

T1R for sure. I liked my PS2's but I've had a couple develop air bubbles from been taken on and off rims now...Between this issue and the cost, I can't do it unless I find them cheap on e-bay.

I dont have much to compare to, but I went from stock pirelli assym. to toyo t1r 235/315 19s. Let me say that pirellis are garbage compared to t1r....Im very happy. Better grip, smoother, more quiet...and keep in mind I went from 18s to 19s. Better all around. Plus I paid about $1k for all 4.

i have had this problem or the past 14 months... i will tell u that a michelin ps2 fits a 12" inch wheel well...
a toyo does not.. it stretches
a yokohama is a joke on a 12" rim

i now have new continentals.. and they actually fit better than any other 315 tires ive had

From what I recall. Conti's are actually bigger than they say.
So a 295 is really a 305.

Steve,

Are your rear fenders shaved/modified to fit the 315 on a 12" rear? Also, do you have pics of the Toyo stretch? I remember you posting a picture of your rear tires that were really stretched. Were those the toyos or yokos?

Edwin

the contis have a very round sidewall which avoids any rubbing

my toyo's were slightly streched...
my yokohamas were unbeleivably streched

my michelins fit OK (they were stretched a little on the inside)
the continentals fit PERFECTLY

I have the 315 TOYOs on an 11.5" rim; the rim protector juts out like it should, looks good. I think 12" would be be OK but definitely a small stretch as Steve says.
