Screen Mesh Screen Detailed INSTAL pics...
Gang, Yesterday I managed to damage my turbo splitter, so I figured since i needed to epoxy together some inner fender liner plastics (until my new bumper cover I bought last year is painted), I figured I'd go ahead and do my own gumper grill screens... Here are some pics in order of installation... Remember, you must remove the following:
Splitter (which I managed to remove by clipping it pulling into a grassy area to park at my Sisters)
The inner fender liners
The bumper cover...
The exposed bellows for the three radiators - this is the Driver's side unit.

Starting with the center unit, I punch the first hole in the center of the bellow top lip:

Installing a Ziptie

Starting it thru the mesh:

Triming a bit of the material to fit the grill opening!

Center Bellows without screen installed...

Finished material behind the grill with the bumper back in place!

It's cake to install these gang. Installing them in the rubber bellows is so easy, takes about two hours, and $50 in materials, along with another $30 in tools...

JIm, I did the side gills, as you can see in the pics... I didn't bother to post pics, because it's the SAME exact technique...
The mesh is the same mesh we used on Landjet's car and came from Customcargrills.com. It's aluminum and powdercoated black.

That mesh looks an awful lot like the screen mesh they sell at Home Depot for rain gutter covers etc. Plastic black?? Seriously...I thought I had seen a previously written and photo'd " How-To " done by one of the guys that used about $5 worth of mesh and zip ties.
Chuck, This stuff is much better quality and will last far longer... It's powder coated ALUMINUM and is VERY thick and durable... The zip ties, well yea they are cheap... Check www.customcargrills.com for a price on the stuff...It will be more durable than plastic, any day of the week, and won't fade with the sun like gutter grill mesh will.

Pretty soon I will just be parking my car at your house.
Thanks for the offer. I may have to take you up on it. You will have to tell me what new piece you new for your Baby.
I finally got around to doing the mesh install this weekend. Not real hard, but more time consuming than I expected. Took me about 4-5 hours total.
I just picked up some hardware cloth from Home Depot and some flat black paint...
Here are the final results:

Here is all the crap that came out of the radiators. I would recommend cleaning yours out even if you don't do the mesh!

Now, my car spent most of it's life in Houston. And this wrapper was in the radiator:

So what the heck are rellerindos? What do you guys do down there in Houston? I found that and a vile of crack, 9mm casings, and some parts from Sean's or Paulie's cars...
