Was out at Willow Springs this past Friday, just my 4th lap and found a huge crack in my return radiator hose... coolant was spewing everywhere, all over my rear bumper/decklid, engine, intake... everywhere. talk about a ruined day... had to drive 4 hours roundtrip in memorial day traffic to the nearest porsche dealer so I could get a replacement hose and be able to drive the car home. From my previous race car (nissan 300zxTT), we would replace the rest of the radiator hoses as one cracked hose usually means the rest will go sooner than later. Just curious from guys who might've had this issue before, anything else I should be checking once this happens? I need to get this done soon because I have a 2 day POC event this weekend and don't want to miss anything. Thanks.

 

Check both the radiators and the plastic fittings on the radiators that the hoses snap into. There are lots and lots of stories here of radiators splitting at the seams as well as the fittings going bad [mine included]. Look for the telltale dried up residue
