c4s or tt ?
c4s or tt ?
ive always wanted a tt but i keep seeing c4s's for real bargains and one just came up for sale 2 miles from me and i can hear it calling me !
i'm torn right now, should i wait and find the right tt or should i get a c4s ? anyone owned both who can comment
it will be mainly a weekend ride, summers only
i love my m3 and am reluctant to take the 25k hit on trade in right now but p cars are real bargains and my real true love

i just dont want to be kicking myself thinking that the tt is so much better and wishing i had waited
i'm thinking that whatever i buy next i'll hang on to for a while, for at least 4 or 5 years

if you're going to hold on to it, all the more reason to get the TT. Even when you get used to it, you can always upgrade- exhaust, flash, turbos and "re-invent" the car.
Do yourself a favor and drive a Turbo before committing to the C4S- the choice will be obvious

i have driven c4s's and there is no comparison between a c4s and a tt
the tt is just so much better in almost every way

I had an '01 C4, was upgrading last year: could've been an '07 C4S or an '04 TT (X50). Needless to say I am so glad I made this choice (Thanks to Aldo at New Country who helped)
i'm starting to see a pattern of opinions here
mileage always worries me, should i be very picky about lower mileage or am i being over cautious ? (when i say lower mileage i mean less than 25k)

You are on a turbo forum....
But, just getting a gt1 based engine versus the m96...that alone is worth it. The turbo's engine is a much better unit than that in the 996 NA cars.
Nuff said.
Now a gt3 is a slightly different question...that is a question of use ....track junkies may do better with a gt3. Other than a gt3, I'd get the tt.

I looked at a couple C4S's and drove a few before I bought my turbo and am glad I got the turbo. C4S is a great car, however if you are going to keep it for a couple of years go with the turbo for sure as it will keep you grinning every time the boost kicks in.
If you drive both cars, you will have the answer. Turbos are so cheap these days I think if you've always wanted one, then now is the best time to buy one. I don't even know how I will ever buy a NA porsche anymore.
