I heard that RobMD did "close to 230 last year" in the mile . . . Congrats Rob!!!

Take a bow Rob!!! Thats quite an accomplishment. In fact, that was a record speed for the 996TT in the mile prior to Joe's recent run. I am surprised that I did not hear about it earlier. I have seen the results of the mile events, as posted here, but I do not recall seeing your run listed. Do you have any video? Data logging? Anything?
Rumor has it that you "might be there next year to see about 240." Good luck with that goal!
BTW, I also heard about your recent run against a Ford GT40 with over 150 RWHP less than your car -- surprising outcome given your considerable HP advantage and impressive speed in the mile.
Congrats again Rob!!!

I can never figure you out. You posted the results of your dyno number and verified the results. Now if you ran a 230 in a mile, you should be over the moon. You will be congratulated by many 6ers. But you seem to want to keep everything under wraps
Seriously, your not a money/pink slip street racer are you, like VR

Why the hate, Craig....didn't you ream Rob out enough already?
In fact I have also lambasted him for not getting any verifiable times in a car that is one of the 5 most powerful Porsches in the world. However if he wants to not produce any verifiable numbers I think at some point we all need to leave him alone.

Rumors? I surely hope not. In fact, in order to ensure the accuracy of my congratulatory post, I directly quoted your own written statement about the achievement -- hence the quotes in the title of the thread and the body of the post. This info comes straight from the horse's mouth. Congrats again!Craig

Hate? Are you reading the same thread? I have quoted Rob's own words and repeatedly congratulated him for the achievement. Would I love to see a video or some other validation of the achievement? Sure I would (as would others). Am I surprised that this achievement was not reported in the threads addressing the outcomes of the mile events? Yes, I admittedly am confused. That being said, Rob has expressly stated that he did "close to 230 last year" in the mile and I salute him for that achievement. No hate here -- only praise.
Hope all is well with you Dr. J!!
