With stickier tires (e.g., the DRs you used during your epic 60-130 runs), and better traction, Joe will run a much faster 60-130 time. Moreover, a fast 60-130 time requires specific, optimized shifting that is different from a mile run. A 60-130 run requires a specific lead in, at an optomized speed and RPM which cannot be replicated in an all-out mile run. There is little doubt that Joe will run considerably faster than 4.81 when he specifically attempts a 60-130 run, with the right tires, optimized lead in, optimized rpms and optimized shifting. Likewise, I have no doubt that Joe will attempt a 60-130 run shortly and immediately post his results.

Another reason and maybe more important than the ones Craig mentioned above is how the boost controller was mapped for the mile.We had the mapping for boost response set very soft so that it would not initially shock the suspension and tires at higher speed causing the car to be uncontrollable. This setting would greatly effect the 60-130 but not so the end result of the mile because most of the mile is spent in the last two gears above 6000 rpm where we were making full boost.

If you want a 60 to 130 you need to specifically run it...
we pulled only a 5.2 out of the 9.9 sec 1/4 run...
best,
mark
