Squeeking clutch pedal - someone help?

I have a 20k miles -02 996TT, with a squeeking clutch. Each time I depress or lift, the return spring down at the pedal is just sounding really annoying. Is this a common thing? Or something coming from the car having been driven so little over the last 6 years?

The car has GT2 clutch as far as I can tell without taking things apart, it is a tad on the heavy side (and yeah I AM a driver), great solid engagement, very similar to any GT3 or GT3 RS, 100% consistent engagement spot, cold or hot, humid or dry, town cruising or active driving.

Very grateful for any info I can get on this to get it silenced! (in every other aspect the the car is mint).

Thanks in advance.

Hello, MrWhite! I don't have any answers, but thought I would respond... My clutch pedal does not squeak. Try any WD-40?

Mine squeaks too...depress and release No other problems with the clutch that I can tell either. Mine is an '02 with 47,000 miles. I have tried lubing the spring with grease to no avail... Don't know how difficult it is to replace it...

Triple rep for you...I'd tried grease and it didn't work... I read your post and thought, "what the heck, I've got some WD40 laying around, I'll go to the garage and try it..." NO MORE CREAKING DAMN SPRING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a little awkward to get at, but I'll be a monkey's uncle--it worked
