Ugh.. 10 day old 996TT broke down ..any ideas??
So leaving work I notice slight lack of power. Takes a little more effort to get into first and overall hesitation. Then comes the check engine light. Problem gets much worse very quickly..
basically I start having less and less power behind the pedal. Not clutch related because the actual engine RPMs aren't climbing. Just feels like all the cylinders are mis firing. Put the pedal down and it just sputters. Every now and then I'll a moment of power but it's getting worse and worse. Nearly impossible to launch on a hill
I hope to make it the 2mls to my mechanic but that doesn't happen. Going down hill I realize the engine has cut out entirely. No power anything. I safely pull to the side of the road but that's it. Car will not start anymore. Had to get it towed
Had similar problem in past BMW. It was ignition coils. Any thoughts?

2nd that... I had a boost hose pop off one of my turbos and it gave me very similar simptoms that you are seeing. Look under your car and make sure your hoses going to the turbos are all hooked up.
wross996TT may have nailed it. shop immediately guessed fuel hose but is confirming as i type.
from what i understand, there's a small rubber u-shaped bend in the hose that stays submerged in the gasoline.. it's notorious for cracking over time. hopefully a painless fix if that's the case.

It is either that one or the similar looking piece on the #20 from the above pic. I just remember they said the pump was pumping fuel back into the tank...

good luck with the fix!
