Sometime this weekend. The alpha car is racing a modded GTR tonight. Alpha 996tt did already destroy a Yamaha R6 and E63 AMG with Pulleys yesterday..That was smoking fast Vince

Was that R6 kill from a roll? Thats about a 100hp 400lb bike. As long as the rider is not 300lbs, thats a very respectable kill...

 

I had a R6 before my Gixxer. The R6 is a fast bike.

 

Providing 2 good drivers/riders, I think the R6 would take it from a dig, but the car would catch the R6 within a couple hundered feet, if not sooner. Figure the car and the bike run the same ET with average rider/driver, mid to low 11's, with the car having a higher MPH.

 

I will let Vince respond. He ordered a new ECU, its coming in tommorow. The car runs fine but sometimes in 1st and 3rd gear it stalls and throttle is cut off.

R6 race was from roll 40 - 130 , E63 was from roll as well.

We havent found one yet. We maybe buy one soon. But i was taping my HD Video yesterday and did some 60-180 runs on his car with a passenger( 180 lbs), full weight we were in the 6.8 sec to 7 sec zone. My guess with just the driver he should be in the high to mid 6 sec zone.

Maybe the new ECU will help a little?? I already feel his transmission is taking a beating (weird noises) with all the TQ its putting down. It basically just lights up all 4 wheels and launches hard with no lag at all..

It will be a very interesting race with the k24/18g,5 bar, 1.3 bar proto car. My guess is it will be very close..tiptronic doesnt feel super fast like 6 speed but looking at the speedometer...its moving fast! . Just so hard to tell - best way is to race and compare.

 

Now this will be a good race. Gotta show some videos on this one. We have a GT28 vs. K24/18, similar set up. My bet is on the GT28 since I used to have one and raced K series turbos No K series came close to me

 

Unfortunately speedo runs are almost useless on high hp cars. The speedo gets behind the true speed at the low end and reads progressively more optimistic on the high end. You really need a GPS unit or a side by side comparison, imo.

 

I know...We will be glad to pay if someone can rent their unit
