Ok guys... thinking about getting back into the game
Well, I've been back in the US now for about 6mos, and to see all of you guys having such a good time with your cars is great, but killing me.
I live in Manhattan, and have to figure out a place to keep it, and if it makes sense from a practical point of view (although it did in central London, so why not here). I'd like to hear from other guys in NYC who have theirs to see how they handle parking (garage of course), and how much they really get to stretch them out. I know Houston is THE scene at the moment, but what is it like here, and what are the nearby tracks (REAL tracks, not Atco or ETown - although they will get a good deal of attention) where they get to use them. Besides, I NEED to get off this island once in awhile, and got used to having a car whenever I needed.
Related to this, I'm creeping back into the market for a late model BLACK only 996TT or preferably a GT2. Miles aren't really a concern, as much as condition, full and perfectly documented history, warrantied, and if modded should be limited and done by a reputable shop. Any leads are MUCH appreciated.
Thanks fellas

Yeah, Tommy has a good rep and I'm sure the car was driven like a grandma
Did he post the sale up anywhere I can take a look at - didn't see it...
Seeing as I intend to stay here for a good while, the next one there will be no messing around
Would actually love to buy it from out west so I can enjoy the drive back. I owe you Houston boys a visit for sure - just missed you last time!

.Where in Manhattan are you?I know a place in Brooklyn that is 2 stops on the L train(about 10 min ride from the lower east side)with really nice indoor parking and camera security for about 200 bucks a month. If you do pick one up it would be fun to have you along for the ride.Joe

We head out to Captree(Jones beach) early (7:00am)on Sunday mornings to stretch their legs. Its about a 45min-hour drive from the city.Lots of cars looking for fun and a really relaxing drive on Sunday morn(no traffic). It goes on every week (as long as weather permits)of the year and is actually more fun in the winter because the diehards are out and there is less supervision if you know what i mean

as for tracks, PCA DE has many events, I live in southern Westchester and have done Monticello Motor Club (with PCA) and Limerock, want to get to Watkins Glen but haven't had the chance yet.
Good luck with your purchase!
