Softronic can also with the same cables, Tune remotely, Change Over Revs, Data log, Change the program index, alter Imob codes, Dme Codes etc. We can even look up all your info and history on your car.

We do not de-solder chips or even require the DME to be removed. The Softronic process is done entirely at will by you the end user with a laptop and a cable.

One of the things that the Porsche dealer who inspected my car prior to me buying it was that it had NEVER been Flashed. He said he could tell no matter what as the ECU registers thin in the NVRAM.

I am curious how you over ride this if you do.

SWR

I am no software expert, but I have had experience in cyber-security and there is really no such thing as an undetectable software change. You will always leave some evidence or "footprint" in the file when you alter the original file. The new Porsche DME's and computerized software readers can readily detect a previously flashed file and usually generate a code that says something like "software altered". Porsche designed their software to detect this because of literally hundreds of thousands of dollars resting on potential warranty issues involving expensive engine and/or transmission rebuilds or replacements.

If you actually have managed to write totally undetectable program, you may well be sought out by the Department of Defense for a lucrative contract.
Most people obviously do not know about the DME's and how they operate. Unfortunately your statement is not true and an Original DME is just that,, Original and not altered. I never said I alter an original file. The entire file in a specific mem range is eliminated and or replaced. All other Tunes do alt. the original file or mem area and thus would be detectable as you suggest.

"Software Altered" is in regards to the software that is in the DME such as when a switching file or another program is installed. This is also in regards to a CVN check. The original program is neither altered or switchable.

By the way I did work for the Department of Defense.

Best,
Scott

The section that he looked at was in another chip or ram and it indexes the program counter when the factory flashes a car. This though has been bypassed awhile ago by tuners. The other section would be the CVN in which is not displayed any further since ver 18 in the PIWIS that would state "Altered" or not no longer does. Another check is to sample the actual program and if it has not been changed then it is as it always has been.

The DME has security levels and the highest level by passes this entire section or can alter it.

Best,
Scott

clvig is infamous around these parts
on my 997s i needed warranty work done i fashed back to stock and brought it to dealer they did rear main seal and check my engine light witch was low coolant and replaced the res tank all set with no problems
i know they plug into the dme when checked for codes never said anything to me of any flash the dealer stated to me when i bought it
that any mods would void the warranty so i am sure they check for a flash
they said that they check every car for warranty work i sold the car over the fall and bought a 996tt i talk to the person that bought and said its been fine i told him how to reflash it back if needed

The cost of the flash would be $1549.00 and it allows you to flash back and forth in files. Should you pay and want it I will then send you a new cable with Durametric software as part of the deal for FREE in which is a $287.00 value added in!. Just then send the loaner cable back for it!!!

Right now. Untill 8PM people with last names starting with R can begin calling. All others can begin calling at 10AM tommorow.

On the serious note. It does sound tempting and a good deal. What if you have durametric already? Can you knock it off the price?

That is funny .

Should you have a Durametric cable I will activate it over the server and we can work together now? The price would be $1400.0.

You would only have to download our software and try and read out the car. The process would fail and then I could initialize the cable and the fun begins!

I would have to know what vintage the cable is by if the light is on the same side as the sticker or opposite it.

Softronic has a lot of new stuff coming out in the very near future .

Best,
Scott

My car was entirely tuned via use of the Softronic software remotely using Todd Knightons programming (Protomotive). Very easy to use and we had many times sent dianosis to Todd as well as set back to original program etc using the Softronic software.
