996tt ecu upgrade

Looking for a ECU upgrade for my 2001 996TT. I see a lot of companies, FVD, Orion, EVOMS, etc. I am leaning towards FVD since you can tune it to own mods yourself and can upgrade the tuning as you add more. Right now the car has a B&B exhaust, EVOMS Diverter valves, and a Fabspeed Motorsport air intake.

Possible future upgrade would be K24, K24/18 or K24/20's turbos.

Any input would be appreicated.

I went with EPL and love it.
You should search since there's probably thousands of threads on ECU flashes.

Sorry for the late response. I have been searching ECU upgrade threads for awhile. Thank you for your input. Was amused and informed by a thread (Dec 08 or Jan 09, it is getting late 12:45 AM) by Softronic and EPL going toe-to-toe in a "friendly" matter.

I would say you can't go wrong with Proto/EPL/UMW.

Just my choices I would look into.

You are in California, go with someone that can support you like Sharkey or
GMG (see their lambo dyno video).
So many choices and many of us are happy, but I would begin to develop a relationship with someone like Sharkey.

You are right about building relationships. My last shop took care of me for 20 + years (non-Porsche). For my "regular" Porsche mechanic I have a great shop 10 minutes from me. But going to need someone to handle all the mods as I go up in HP.

Hello,

I would just like to say that Softronic will send you a cable and flash your car for FREE and pay if you like? Should you not then just flash to stock again and send the cable back? No strings attached.

Best Regards,
Scott Slauson

Would you like some? I'm online and this is not a FREE give away yet we are offering you the cable to try with software to use on an honor system. Once we have sent you the flash it will be up to you to pay us or flash to stock and return the cable.

We do have this in pinks and reds .

Best,
Scott
