What do I buy??

OK Let's say I want to replace my Turbo with a $50-$60K vehicle. What do I buy?

C6 Vette? Infiniti FX45? Something Else?

Here are the only requirements:

1. It has to either be a 2-door sporty car or an SUV - NO SEDANS!

2. Also, it must be a 2004+ Model Year - NO older cars.

Hmm...I thought about the Elise - it just seems so spartan compared to the kind of trim I'm used to. I've never actually seen it in person, so I suppose I'll have to venture out to my local dealer.

you must learn to "compromise" if you want elise. it's very hard to get in. i am pretty atheletic and at 170# 5'-9" it's a ***** for me to get in and out. if you are bigger than me... it will take you 5 mintues to get out of the car, i am not kidding, it will take you 5 minutes to get out.

at your price range, C6 is probably your only choice for new cars. unless you want subie and the like.

suv.... well how do you define SUV. FX45 isn't REALLY an SUV. it's a high riding AWD wagon isn't it? hummer is a SUV. i am not bashing FX45, but i am trying to make you consider Audi S4. i just got one, not bad. and it handles way better than FX45. howver, it may not fit your requirement of must be 2 door sporty or SUV.

I'd check it the new SLK. I've seen the 350 in person and it looks real nice. C&D just did a test of a 6 speed version and gave it a nice write-up. The SLK 55 is in this range and is sub-5 0-60.

Only prob w/ Z06 is that it is quite a ways from being released & I can't imagine it selling for less than $65K-$70K.

I go with the FX45 if this is your only car and daily driver.

My daily driver is a 1981 Mercedes 300SD, which is why I don't want a second sedan. And since my diesel is a real slug @ 119BHP, I want my second car to be POWERFUL! RRRRRR....
