VIVID on the ball again!

Guys-
There is an old adage about the weakest link. When I did my 24/18's I replaced pretty much everything except.....my darn F-hose.

Well, take a look at the pic below....I realized yesterday a factory F hose does not like 1.3bar of boost. That is a pretty big split!

I emailed Vivid at noon yesterday and by 10am this morning FedX was at my door with a new piece. Got three emails from them including two from Dan personally to confirm I received it.

A+ for Vivid and their customer service and follow-up, not to mention one heckuva stout F hose!

Dan is the best in customer service...It is not difficult to install the f hose...if you manage to remove the stock one!!!The OEM clamps are very difficult to be removed...i replaced them with standard clamps with bolts...

I was at 1.26 in 2nd gear when it let go, felt like I was hit in the face with a board, boost dropped to .8 or so. speed dropped like.....I was hit in the face with a board. This was on 100 unleaded.

That's one big blow out

Lucky that's all that broke. Glad I replaced mine, justifies the purchase now, and the effort in replacing it.

The replacement was actually a snap. Because.....I left the pain in the rear diverter valve in place. I unhooked the vacuum lines and the dv you can actually see and get to, then the new hose just slid up in there and onto the dv you can't see. Then, the other dv was easy to get in. Only took maybe 15 minutes.
