Hi Guys, I found a mystery connector in the passenger side footwell of my new to me 996TT (see photos). The connector says "Main Unit and Accessory" with a pair of home phone cord jacks. The one wire that is plugged in terminates with 2 screw-on electrical connectors that dont go to anything.

Does anyone know what this thing is for?

I have a 2002 996TT with PCM/BOSE (the tape player at the top) and a 6disc in the front compartment.

Any help would be appreciated.

Yea, looks like a V1 power connector. That porsche wiring harness has switched 12 volts on it.

 

You guys are sharp- I went back to my own V1 box and determined that this is in fact the V1 direct power line.
