Throttle cut question....

At what boost levels does the ECU cut the throttle angle? I belive it is 1.35 bar. Could someone confirm this.

I have a feeling it's more than simply boost-related... may have to do with MAF sensor voltage as well (air flow capacity), and perhaps other parameters. Doing a simple experiment in the next few days to see if it's true.

98% sure its only MAP sensor related. If the MAF maxes out the ECU goes full duty cycle on the injectors.

Trust me... boost is not the only factor... I've seen and experienced the over-boost tb failsafe at lower than 1.3 BAR.

The TB will close down in many situations. It is not just listed for boost. It is a protection and if anything in the motor goes way out of parameter it will close the throttle body to eliminate boost. It is telling you it is not happy about something. So while most cases are an over boost it does not have to be.

Yes I agree there other reasons that the ECU will cut throttle angle. Most often it is overboost that causes throttle cut to protect the motor. Thanks for your input guys!
