Can I buy a software version of a 996 Service Manual?
Can I buy a software version of a 996 Service Manual?
I need to remove some interior trim, and would like to have the manual. I saw someone mention that they had paid around $40 for this, but I forget where. Any help is appreciated.
Haven't tried this one but it might be worth a look... Free: http://pdftown.com/PDF-Porsche-911-C...ce-Manual.html
He's your guy! PM him and you're good-to-go.
Thanks. I also found this site:

Does anyone have the diagrams for the Rear Console? (Or point me to the right spot in the manual?) I don't see it under Interior Trim.

Stage 1 is running the Ipod cable from a Dension Gateway into the center console lock box. Stage 2 will be modding the actual console to fit a Satelite Radio Receiver into an enlarged opening where the ashtray is now. I have to swap the consoles for that part, as I have a fully covered leather one that will not be kind to chopping up. I bought a used plastic one off of ebay that I can mod, and then paint body color. I'm settling on just the ipod install for now.
Did you find 996-TT related stuff? I did not, it seems it only discuss 996 C and GT3. Am I wrong?
For What Its Worth: You can also try to mess with the NEW official Porsche documentation web site PIWIS-TSI. https://techinfo2.porsche.com
I have never downloaded anything myself because I ran out of time the last time I tackled it. Really, really hard to navigate, and some of the German-English translation is hard to decypher, but with a credit card it looks like you can buy anything you want by VIN.
You do need to register but it took only a minute and it doesn't appear the you need to be a dealer (some type of EU freedom of info act I believe forces them to make the documentation available to all). Most stuff is $1.80. Hope this helps.
Anyone else tried it?
