Congrats to 6speedonline!

To all those on 6speedonline.com

Yea I am so astounded that we have so many members on this board. It really is an honor to be on such a board that so many people hear and respond to your opinions.

Of course there are some people who's opinions will not be tolerated and they will be banned, but atleast we arent on funcars right?

Anyways, Id like to be the first to thank Darren, Duane, Shank, and the rest of the administrators for running a "forum" that is absolutely free in terms of money and doesnt ban any members at all.

.....
A M G

Thanks guys for making this site rule!

Pistol, I wholeheartedly agree with you. As a side note, would the admins please unban AMG ETR? You can´t blame him for being a kid, can you?

Aspirations for 6 speed
i would love this site to reach the highest level. could we have:

1] posters justify their assertions in real knowledge and experience, or indicate when they are hypothesing.

2] respect the experts -- keep the experts from getting so irritated with the BS, we lose their valuable posts as happened elsewhere. we know who knows, don't we? we need them badly to want to speak up, and not be drowned in ignorant diatribe or dispute.

3] people being wrong and people looking for help are suppported and corrected in a polite manner, based on #1 above

4] BS kept to clearly indicated joking. i love to joke around as you all know, but try to limit it to people who know when i'm kidding. let's try not to be ironic, cycnical or jokingly critical until we have a strong relationship between ourselves.

5] no personal criticisms, no profanity. focus on the cars and the technical. even experts disagree but let's keep it on the issues.

I would have thought we would have seen more of a jump in the membership from the Pano ad than we did. It was a great ad.

Oh, I didn't catch the abbreviation. I get Panorama and didn't see the ad. Guess I'll have to go back and look again. Thanks.

I think advertising in Excellence should help boost member numbers...Especailly if you put a list of sponsors in the ad...

I believe the turnout for this type of forum is not monumental for 2 reasons. #1- porsche sales are down, economy isn't great therefore the number of porsche owners, esp. with summers end is down. #2- i took out my tt saturday pm , first for a hand wash and then to a beverage center. at each stop, a tt owner stopped me to comment on my car . neither of them heard of 6speed and after telling them about it's great points both guys still looked like they were yawning . seems as if more tt owners than we think drive the car to and from and that's it!busy with other stuff-kids, other interests, or don't give a sh-t.

Bill - we actually think the turnout is great so far ? Not sure what you are judging by but we have been live for 2+ months and have 700+members and more volume than the "Other forum" most us came from - so anyway the 1000 members get a nice prize
