Put 928 in place of TT and your in my world. It seems everyone I talk to says "whats that? or Is that like a 911?"

darren, 700 members is great and i'm sure 1000 is not too far off. i was just responding to a few posts talking about the light turnout since the ad. if you think in perspective of how many porsche drivers there actually are out there, i hope and believe an even greater number than 1000 should be at this site. but then again, only two out of ten people visit a dentist annually for a checkup so nothing surprises me

I agree, I think it is pretty amazing the response you get when a question is posed. I get more responses, more help etc. in 1 hour than I get in 1 day on the "other" forum. You guys have done a great job and you should all be commended. This is the type of forum I have been looking for since I got my first p-car in 2002. I previously had an M5 and the forums for that car or shall I say BMW's in general are extremely active and I could not find anything similar until now. Keep up the great work and I know all of us posters will keep spreading the word as well. One draw back though, with all the wealth of information, it does become costly If not for web forums, a 500, 600, 700, 800 hp turbo wouldn't exist for me

Advertising definitely helps... but can be pricey depending on the audience of the publication. I know I've gone after a few different magazines, but lack of funds have turned our ads so small you can barely read them.

I think the site is doing great, but I agree with Bill's observation. Porsche has flooded the market in the last 3-4 years and the car has become much more common. I see people squeezing their TT into a parking space I wouldn't put my motorcycle. I see cars that look like they've been off road. I still see my car as something that was "created" and not manufactured. I guess I almost consider it a work of art.

I guess I'm a freak

"I see cars that look like they've been off road. "

hey ken,

i resemble that remark!!! dirt roads are great for porsches, in moderation. as my son used to say, before he jumped in a puddle: "i love mud".

site is THE turbo site, and many knowledgeable and gentlemanly folk are here!!!

i think Ken's remark is justified. all of this on this forum are porsche enthusiasts. however, in the bigger picture we are a very small minority compared to the MANY who think we are ****. Let's face it we talk about mods, boost, microfiber towels, and interior carpet vacuums leaving perfect lines while the average turbo owner brings his tt thru the car wash once a month and gets a $40.00 wash and wax once a year. personally, i think every tt owner must be forced to perform one mod per year and register on 6speed or confiscate the vehicle!
