Could it be because your car runs better and you are pushing the pedal further?

Try this....when you take off from a stoplight, look in your rear view mirror....are you always three or four car lengths in the lead?? What's your onramp speed and do you merge or pass most of the traffic during merge? Put your OBC to MPG and leave it there....watch how it logs the mpg as you go thru the tank, especially during city driving....If I come off the pedal a bit, I can go from around 13.4 mpg to 15.6 in the city....24 on the freeway. I have a feeling it's directly proportional to downforce on the gas pedal.
