My front GT3 rims are developing an impossible to remove scaly rust deposit that i cant get off with conventional rim cleaner. Its starting to pit the rims too. I gather this is from corrosive brake dust and grime. Anyone else with this issue? Any suggestions to remove without stripping the rim?

Are you parking the car with wet discs after washing? What wheel cleaner are you using? I wax my rims to keep the deposits from settling onto the finish.

Yeah, I have put the rims away wet, and have not waxed them. Im using a non corrosive cleaner/foam, (eagle 1 or something like that). any suggestions on how to get the scale off the rim without strippingthe clear coat? It stuck on there like rust.
