This is what I would do to rule out the MAF. Start the car and let it idle. Then while it's idling, go disconnect the MAF. If you notice an change in the idle then chances are your MAF is fine. If the idle stays the same your MAF is most likely bad. That usually helps narrow down the issue.
Thanks. I gave it a go...idle stayed the same.

It's running super rich now. My eyes were watering when I was behind the car.

That suggests your MAF is bad. Now you'll need to figure out why. My first suggestion would be to check your air filter or box. Filter could also be oiled too much. If your still using te stock airbox, check to make sure it's completely sealed after the filter. If any contaminents get through, they could be fouling the MAF.

Will do...thanks! The airbox and filter are OEM...non-oiled.

Just a follow-up...it was a MAFS issue and not a MAFS issue.

The pin delivering power to the MAFS had backed out and the MAFS was getting incremental power from the harness. Fixing the pin and popping the harness back on fixed the problem. Whew!
