Fuel Pump.... finally dove in.
Fuel Pump.... finally dove in.
Since it came off the flatbed and pushed back into the garage, it's sat.
Today I got off my butt and troubleshooted the prob. I suspected pump too, but took the steps to check it all.
Fuse, good.
Relay doing it's thing.
Power at the pump, yep when the key turned to start.
Pulled the top off the tank and didn't look like the broken curved hose that Pumalex just had. Added power to the pump and saw the hose blown underneath blowing gas back into the tank. Also the clamp at the checkvalve is loose, and you can slide the hose back and forth on the check valve. With a little tug, I could probably pull it right off too.
It's probably a good thing that it happened as the last guy who replaced the pump 7500 miles ago, cracked the lip of the fuel sender. Gas was leaking and you can tell by the darkened area where gas was leaking. The top of the tank had stains too.
Parts on order.... pics below.

I'm told the GT2 uses the same electric motor of the pump, however the GT2 pump assembly is different from the regular TT because of the hump in the tank for the front drive. A GT2 assembly doesn't fit the TT and vice-versa.(so I'm told).
