Valet said they just backed it in?
Went to get my car from the Valet at my sisters high rise last night and had given them $20 to keep it out front ... anyhow; after asking for my car both the door guy and valet guy walked me over to the car explaining that the car was just backed 10 feet into the spot it rests now from where I had pulled in ... looked ok ... well they said theres a problem with shift lever? ... I got in the car and my car is stuck in reverse and the lever is flimsy loose going forward and back like spaghetti ... I'm assuming my B&M broke it's connection or something? I told them real nice that it shoudl be covered by warranty and if it's not that they should take car of it ... they obliged ... any ideas?

I really felt bad ... I remember pulling up and the look on there faces when I got out of the car that dropped me off ... three of them had obviously been talking about it and trying to figure out how upset I would get ... once I put a smile on my face they looked relieved ... poor guys didn't look like they did it ... it wasn't a club or restaurant ... it's the in-house staff (older) of a million dollar an apt. high rise so I doubt they were Ferris Bueller'ing the TT ...
left it there ... put the tow hook in ... gave the front door guy the key ... called Porsche Roadside and had them scheduled to pick up the car 7am Monday for delivery to the dealer ...
I'm not entirely sure valet parking is a definite evil. Generous tips and experienced (re: mature) valets can actually help ensure a safer parking spot at crowded events. Sometimes I'd rather take my chances with the valets than parking between a couple SUVs.
