How fast will a tune make my 996tt?
How fast will a tune make my 996tt?
It's a 2001 996tt. I have a full turbo back RUF exhaust only. A local tuner is going to give me a great deal on a tune. He thinks about 60-80whp and 80-90wtq.
Should I wait to get a cold air and diverter valves prior to getting it tuned?
Let me know what you guys think.
Thanks! AL

I highly recommend that you go with well known tuners on this board, EPL,Protomotive, UMW.
I did the DV;s and tune, That's it.
It make your car go from 116 trap speed to 120ish with a flash. That's a great increment.

Dont forget EVOMS
+1
there are lots of 'tuners' out there, there are only a few really good tuners, go with one of the tried and trusted ones
i went with EPL, car is so much better/smoother/faster now, excellent service as well, Tony really takes care of his customers
With the EVOMSit software and your current mods, we can bump the car up about 80hp and 90tq. There are many reasons why I feel the EVOMS software is the way to go, but the proof is in some of the record breaking 996's that are running the software, as well as the number of cars our there running trouble free.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, or if you'd like to arrange the tune. Keep in mind that we back the EVOMSit software with a money back guarantee too!

OP- Cold air intake is a waste of money for your power/flow levels.
WHO is the person who wrote the code for the tune your local guy wants to toss in? With EVOMS, UMW, EPL, you know the person and reputation behind the tune...Tuning is not like a part... you are buying judgment, experience AND follow up support. Cheap tunes are cheap for a reason....
