New Pics of my Car / Dyno Results and 0-60 Magazine Article Take 2.
Good morning all. I have been working with 0-60 Magazine on a buildup of my car. Those guys are great and have a really good Magazine. If you are not familiar with it, check them out at Barnes and Nobles or any bookstores like that.
I posted my stage 1 article here - in case you haven't seen it - https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-1-garage.html
Anyways, here is a brief rundown of what we did with the car since that post.
We upgraded some stuff on the brakes - and powder coated the calipers. Real nice to have super clean and bright calipers.
Since we installed the KW Variant, which are the absolute best suspension for these cars... I am very happy I went with these instead of the Billsteins - we needed to do some camber adjustments.
So I contacted my buddy Fabryce over at GMG and picked up a set of Dog Bones for the rear. Really nice parts and work GREAT! We have the camber all setup now and my tires are nice and happy!
We did a custom Tune from Tony at EPL. Chris Green from USP Motorsports works really close with Tony, and we were able to get a tune for the car that is out of this world. The Tune is so smooth and VERY noticeable. I am running around 1.2 bar on full boost and have a little more rev limiter as well. There is no telling that anything is done to the car when driving normal - that's how nice this upgrade is from Tony. I highly recommend it!
We Dynoed the car and all stock it gave us 365 WHP and 353 TQ.
After Chris from USP installed the ECU Upgrade, we Dynoed the car and received 444 WHP and 488 TQ.
Insane right?
Chris has been working on a Custom Exhaust for the 996TT and has done a couple for testing etc. I wanted something different from the norm. Something that had a race look and an incredible sound without it being too obnoxious inside. Plus, I wanted to make power!
So he built me an amazing exhaust - that looks insane in person! I can't tell you how many people give me compliments about it and ask me about it. The sound is amazing as well. The system is a complete 3" Mandrel bent system all done in stainless steel. He designed mine to go without cats. At first, I was really nervous about the sound, but man am I glad he is the professional here doing the job! It is amazing! Check out the pipes that dip down... so mean looking!
We Dynoed the car after we put the exhaust on and were able to pull - 461 WHP and 512 TQ. The great thing about this exhaust is the pickup in mid range which was about 34 WHP gain right where I drive the car the most. Amazing!

Here is the Dyno Sheet from USP Motorsports. I am sure Chris could pipe up and tell more about the Tune and Exhaust upgrade and even the Dyno results.

Here is a look at the new issue of 0-60 Magazine. It should hit the stands this week.

So that's it. I drive this sucker just about every day. I love it! There is no regret in this purchase at all. It helps a ton to have a good shop to go to and work with. Chris has a really nice shop and his work is extremely clean and top notch. Can't say enough about it. so it helps top have USP close enough where I can get everything done there.
I am loving the way my car is looking now. It sits perfect, the wheels are amazing and the overall look is right on. Oh.... USP also installed a Carbon rear spoiler for me. Man that sets the whole car off right there. Forgot about that.
All right - enough from me. Have a great day all!

I wonder what Tony at EPL did to this tune vs there Normal tune that I bought from him a couple months back. I have straight pipes even with less restriction then your exhaust and it only made just over 400 to the wheels on a Mustang dyno.
Different dynos= different numbes would be my guess but 50-60hp seems like a lot.
I'd actually like to throw my same car on the dyno at USP to see if the the dynos are really that much different or to show the improvements of the new tune USP got for you compared to the off the shelf version. Of course if USP will let me.
Car looks cool great!
