Well , my car got into limp mode somethimes,I think it was because the DV's didn't release boost quick enough during shifting gears ( had the soft springs installed) so I changed them with the upgraded Bosch ones and never had limp mode again. So I suppose the problem were the DV's...

You guys know that you have my business! . I will drive down there tomorrow. Do the evoMS units require maintenance?

do the "upgraded" bosch ones look stock? I have DVs that look stock, but they are holding some decent boost. I originally started this thread because I expect them to fail eventually. Maybe I have upgraded Bosch units on my car.

The uprated stock "ones" look identical to stock and the part number on them often ends in "710n".

I have had the upgraded Bosch since Tony installed and flashed my car. They look identical to stock but I am hitting 1-1.2 bar with no problem. They are no maintainance and Tony recommended and he has been right on.

Does the 2005 turbo "S" have stock or upgraded Bosch units? What is the part number of the upgraded units?

Thanks

really not looking to installing them though, people have said if you have long needle nose pliers its not too bad, how long do they need to be ? any other tools that would make life easier, other than the obvious sockets etc

As they say "the proof is in the pudding".....dozens and dozens of high hp 996 Turbos are successfully using these units.

These DV's come as a complete kit. Everything you see in the picture below.

Just bought these and should be here tomorrow. Hope to get them in this weekend but I have in-law coming in .. Yeesh!
