Recommended Bay Area Porsche Dealer

Hello everyone! My car is still under CPO and was wondering which dealership is the best to go to in terms of really helping their customers and who are very knowledgeable. Is it Sonnen, Carlsen, Steven Creek, Rector...any others I'm missing? Basically who does a good job even though no one expects them too. hah!

thanks!

Jim

Carlsen Porsche. Ask for Brian Haske. Great guy, knows a lot about Porsches. Best lad in the business if you ask me.

Keep in mind that it is the SERVICE ADVISOR that defines your relationship with any dealer. Ask for recommendations for specific people- I've heard good things of a guy down at Carlsen. Cant recall the name.

Developing that relationship is tough.... some customers make better clients and easier customers than others; some SAs can relate to different approaches; customers have different expectations.

What kind of customer are you? What do you value in an SA?

Personally I demand the truth, including "I don't know" or "this is our best guess". I am informal. I am fine with timelines slipping as long as I get warning, and when I really can't tolerate a slippage they step up. I don't value being called "Mr.", I don't want them sucking up to me, I want to be able to speak to the tech when necessary, not just the SA.

PS Edit: Brian is the guy I couldn't recall

I also recommend Brain Haske at Carlsen Porsche. I took my 2001 to Carlsen for the 2nd gear syncho problem and Brian handled it. Kept me advised of what they found, called me in to meet the tech, I believe it was Christian, who did the work, showed me the worn\defective pieces, discussed whether the rest of the box should be gone through. Easy to work with, they installed aftermarket parts I brought in and got most of it covered under an extended warranty policy. Knows Porsches, straight talker and excellent to work with.

thanks!

Thanks guys for all of your valuable responses. I will go to Brian...all I want is the truth and for porsche to do the right thing. I dont care much for sycophants...doesnt mean much to me. Just getting the job done and not ripping me off is the best policy in my book.

Thanks again!
