DB Carbon quality?

how does DB carbon lip compare to the rest of the CF manufacturers?

Has anyone ever buy from them?

Thanks,
Jim

I have carbon in my car from TechArt (steering wheel), Bumper Plugs, OEM, & DB Carbon. I can't tell the difference in quality between any of them. I would not hesitate to purchase other items from DB Carbon.

DB carbon makes some first rate parts, very happy with what I have bought so far. Rumor is they make parts for Porsche as well.

Agreed, I have bought a couple of bits from them. I want to buy a lot of larger stuff like carbon centre console etc - so, to test the quality I bought a small dashboard part as a 'tester'. I was very impressed with the quality. Next to the Porsche OEM carbon it is indistinguishable

cheers

DB Carbon gets a big thumbs up from me too... taken a little bit time to get bits to me but the quality was worth the wait.

Ditto. I also like Ray (ROTec)'s aero front lip...but with my roads, carbon is not the best lip...

DB parts are warp from OEM Porsche parts. Thats the best way for interior, mirror and other smaller piece. For bigger piece such as spoiler and front lip. CF warp process will add alot of weight on the parts and it not the best for performance cars. Also start with OEM lip or spoiler and warp it will increase the produce price. We produce CF version aero front lips from scarch, price is $650 which is less than an OEM aero front lip and we still have couple instock. PM me if anyone want to reserve a piece.

Rotec (Ray) - I assume you mean wrap - not warp. The piece that I purchased from DB was NOT wrapped (or warped) and it was a small interior piece.

Thanks Duffy for the correction!

I should say over layer carbon fiber on top of OEM Porsche parts.

I think durability is relative. The most you can hope for with a front lip is that it maintains its shape and color. Nothing will hold up to driving a car up or down a high grade and rubbing.
