Noob question: WTF is this?

So I'm still a little new to the Porsche world and it's vocabulary. My car had the Ruf R550 kit on it. I already sold the turbos, working on the exhaust, using the clutch, and now there's another thing I may be getting rid of soon. And I don't know what it is.
It's the cast piece w/ the Ruf logo in the pics.

Thanks in advance.

It looks like part of your intake air from the air box to the turbo's. Probably the point behind where you can't see in the pic divides the air to the two turbo's.

I'm curious to see if another aftermarket company makes that part.

worked on a few ruf cars and the 996tt cars use that turbo duct/y to feed the air to the turbos. The stock one is restrictive in certain areas and it's something that EVO, Scargo, FVD all make as well.

Ahh, so if I got that Scrago carbon piping piece thing, it'd replace this?

Actually there are several that make variations. Back in 2001 I couldn't figure out why Ruf motors made better torque under like circumstances or parts. I discovered that Ruf's solution was was better air intake.

Since that time others have learned. Having larger flow area is one asset. The other is utilizing materials that do not heat sink. Heat sink materials draw heat to the intake air which loses power.
