Does anyone else's Vantage do this?

Hello all,

New and proud owner of a second hand vantage. I have it now for about 2 weeks, and I absolutely love it!

I have a question: when I close the doors and then press the lock button on the remote, the doors lock and you hear the lock sound (click).

And than, after about 30 seconds or so, you hear a second click.

I am wondering what that second click does. Lock the fuel cap maybe?

Does your vantage does this also?

Thank you for your awnser!

PS: English is not my first language

Yes my '07 makes the second click 30s later. I recall hearing a sound from both doors but maybe I remember incorrectly. I'll take a look this evening.

I think it's called the "deadlock" in the manual. Completely normal.

That, I believe, is your security system arming. Not unusual.

Normal.

Also, if you unlock it but *don't* open a door within about 30 seconds, it will re-lock.

If you have the high-spec alarm, you can turn down the sensitivity by hitting the button hidden near the door jam by your left leg.
