Thanks Dave, Thanks Mike. I'm not disappointed at all. I'm actually bummed that I didn't find this out earlier. My whp has not changed. It seemed to make the same power now as it made back in April when we installed the meth. We've always dyno'd in AWD on a Mustang dyno, but the front wheels were doing nothing and the rears were turning all the rollers I guess? Now that I am RWD, I'm very curious to see if I can run some times that would be commensurate with my mods? I did lose 70lbs today. Between the weight loss and the loss of the parasitic drag, I hope to greatly improve my et's, trap speeds and 60-130's, all of which I will have by the weekend.

Let's not get crazy now I have no expectations. It's been cool this week but will be hotter by the weekend. I am just going to go drive it and see what it does...I'm more interested in some trap speed too...

right...and I have only been running 6.3's-6.6's in the muggy heat here...but if I do better than that, it's an improvement, that will only get faster in the cooler weather...

I don't have an answer for this. I will however say this: I have ALWAYS had traction issues with my car, from the day I bought it. I always had street tires on the car. It NEVER occurred to me that the dif could be bad. I have had traction issues on the dyno, on the street and even at the drag strip. I also got stuck in my driveway in 3 inches of snow!!! Now I realize we don;t have quattro but geeezz, 3 inches of powder? So I think it's been bad since the day I got it. I think I have had a RWD car with a huge disadvantage...I plan to fix or replace my dif and re-install it after the Mile, for the winter.

Mike,

I think you are in for a good improvement! What has the car trapped as currently configured with the meth tune you have now?

Wow, very interesting. You will love RWD if you set it up right. Don't want to start that thread over again but I can't see going back. Then again, I live in SoCal so no real need! Thanks for the post and providing us some more info to learn from. I'll be posting up some good stuff soon... Car is coming back together shortly.

John,
I've been 129mph at the Valley and 130 at E'town. I'm hoping to pick up a 2 maybe 3mph? We'll find out Friday at the Valley rental.

Kato
Thanks and good luck!!!

Mike, good comparison. I think it shows that the pump meth is efficient enough that race meth won't gain you much. But I agree about the race gas being used for safety. Makes sense.

Sorry about the diff, but Isn't most of the power supposed to go to the rear unless you loose traction? Interesting that you cannot notice when one of these front diffs is trashed? kinda sucks. Maybe you can get a 12 bolt solid axle posi in the front

I have never seen a definitive description on how our dif works. This is how I think it works: it applies more power to the front as you make more power, or go faster. ie, you have NO AWD going slow, but have full AWD when your are cranking...I guess there is a way to check it...I think if you jack up the front end, and turn one wheel and see if the other wheel turns the other way? Anyone know?

My Meth kit is awesome and has very noticable gains and provides a level of consistancy I have not seen yet on other cars.
Thanks
