Replacing DVs

Should I replace my DVs since I jus passed 50K on my car? They are fine, but eventually I will have to replacement. The car is in the shop and getting some work done. All works are covered by the aftemarket warranty. Does anyone know if warranty will cover the DVs even though the DVs are still good. A white lie by my mechanic won't hurt, right? The warranty expired in March 2010 and I figured I get as much out of it as possible.

Thanks,

TC

It sounds like you're suggesting have the DVs replaced with another set of stock DVs...is that correct?

Good question! I was thinking AWE DVs and make up the price difference if there is one since I might get a flash next year.

i just got a set of bailey dv's as they dont need yearly servicing, if you are planning on modding ( which as soon as you drive mine at c&c you will ! ) then you should upgrade the dv's, so you may as well do it now

there are people running stock dv's after modding though so you might be fine but personally i wanted to upgrade

My warranty covered the original "failed" DVs. You will need them changed to support a decent tune.

does lowering the engine avoid having to remove some of the other pipes necessary to get to the dv's ?
