Should I get the full Protomotive intake system?
Ahh I see. I'm excited to see the final results. Hopefully i'll have some dyno numbers by the end of next week.
yup they will up top at 1.35 bar your moving a ton of air... but man 6.01 60-130 i wouldnt touch a thing it cost a ton of$$$ to go faster than that trust me i know!!
Eric, buy Jamies old car....I hear it can be had for well under 100K.
To everyone who PMed me, thanks.
Some have said "do it" while others claim that there car was not any faster w/ the proto intake than it was w/ the stock intake.
Based purely upon looks, it certainly appears that the air flow is much less restricted without the convoluted stock plumbing, but real world results cannot be dismissed.

Paulie why would he only put something in his car that will only beat his current setup by 2.5-3cars MAX??

Well Matt is taking his motor out soon so it won't look like something from the game Spy Hunter (probably a bit after your time
) when he goes WOT. I'm sure when he get's it back we can line it up with him N/A and then on the n2o. You should beat him N/A, but I can almost bet it will take you going into 5th before you catch him. On the n2o (if it hooks) it will be a force to be reckoned with. His biggest problem is traction, but I think on good concrete and a heated up set of slicks he should be fine. The main reason why you never see him spray on the street is traction. On 19s on motor the car gets retarded from 60mph usually.I'll have my car back before The Mile. As always I will be open with my numbers, but as we know those don't mean a damn thing
I'm hoping if it all runs like it's suppose to, you will be going in for a little Boost Logic (Or 911Tuning) treatment as well
The Proto style intake is the best intake period. If you look at the Excellence Magazine a few years back, the month which had the tuner shoot out you will see that they raved about this intake system. If it were not that good, then why did EVOMs switch to this setup style on Joe's Moster?

I hate to be a dick on this situation, but it's not something innovative Protomotive thought of. They took the idea that had been used for years and adapted it with a Porsche. They found a shortest way to pull air from and went there with the tubes.
If the car was a all purpose race car (that never saw the street AT ALL) you could just put mesh screens in front of the turbos and say screw it and be done. Ever notice when Supra's do their dynos they don't even run filters. If you want to get technical if you are going to achieve the max. amount of horsepower you don't even want to run a filter. We run them to protect the motor from the ugly things that are in the air, etc.

Notice the lack of something?

If I don't go to our ranch this weekend I may make a drive up to your neck of the woods this weekend. You going to have the car at your place?
