which tyre for 19's

Hi looking for some advice on tyre choice, im running 235/35/19 front and 305/30/19 rear Pilots just now but will be needing to change them soon.
I have got prices for the same size front but 315 /25/19 rears so what would you guys recommend .
I got quotes for Toyo Tr1's, Falken FK452 and Michelin Pilots ,with the Pilots being nearly twice the price of the other two.

infinus is infamous around these parts
Ive used the falkens on my G35 and I like them. I like the vredestein's better but they don't make them in the right size for the rear.

Thanks for the reply i havent ran falkens before, i have used the Toyo's but only on a light fwd car not sure what they would be like on a 996 as the sidewalls are fairly soft.

Running the T1R (315/25-19) for over 6 months on DD; rain or dry an excellent tire.

Any problems with high speedstability or sidewall flex?

The other tyre i was looking at that i can get in the sizes i want is the Yoko Advan Sport V103.

34 F, 40 R; i've seen no instability all the way up to 120 (my suspension mods likely affect this too). Sidewall flex? 25 series tire what sidewall! how can one sense this?

The 305/30-19 in rear is 4% larger around than the proper size 315/25-19. Assuming you are running that setup on a 996 TT, It is possible to overheat and damage the viscous coupling by overheating it.

I had the same thing when I bought my car; all seems to be well though, not sure how you could tell the coupling is damaged. Guys at the dealership didn't see the 305's as unusual, I went to the 315/25-19 a few months later.

I did notice some weeping around the front diff case drive shaft seals when I changed my oil. Not sure if it's related.
