All season tires for 911 turbo?

Hi guys,

Wanted to know if any of you know a good all season tire that would fit the stock rims. Im in Chicago and know it will be getting cold in the next few weeks and will probably be in the 30's. Need a good tire that I can drive with. Whats a good all season and what size do you recommend?

Thank you.

Vince

I went with a complete set of snows - including rims from Tire Rack for like $1,400 and that included a storage rack.

Ask Damon about all season - he'll be honest.

if you plan to drive this car in the winter get some blizzak or true snow tires that are not studded and you will do alright with minimal throttle

Agreed. I have a set of the Dunlop snows on separate wheels.

you guys really drive your pcars in the snow? I have been told by several people to not even drive them in the rain because of the torque. Interested on hearing your advice. I have still have my pickup that I can drive but of course I'd rather not if I don't have to.

Wow, don't know who told you that. How silly.

Best snow car I've ever owned. I drive it every day, except for the days my wife gets a turn

Better in the snow than my Explorer.

Drive it!

It was amazing in snow, as long as not over 4"....then it would build up on the front spoiler.....

Snow tires are a must in snow. I sold mine as I moved to a warmer area...no snow here.

All seasons on this car just are not smart....they are a compromise tire.

In rain, the car is amazing too....

Get a matched set of Tires and Wheels from Damon at tire rack.

My best Porsche buddy drives his 05' Turbo S Cab all year around through our
God-awful winters.

Just went ahead with Sumitomo HTR's for now and will change rims and put on snow tires for the winter when we finally get snow.

Anyone know at what temps the sumitomos's are able to run effectively?

Thank you.

Fortunately, I never have to deal with this ever again, but here's the answer to your question.

Below 45 any performance tire is going to get sketchy. Buying performance all season tires really gets you about another 10 degrees. The added siping also allows for some snow traction, but nowhere near what snow tires will.

Please give me a call, I'll be happy to help.

Thanks.
