LSD or not

I was roaming around in the forum and found a thread about RWD.
One of the respondents said that they had an 03 X50 which came with LSD
I have an 04 X50. Would it come with LSD as well, and how do I tell the difference?
Sorry if this is a numb question

I could be mistaken- but I thought I read somewhere that the LSD doesnt work with the PSM in the 996TT? My X50 definately doesnt have an LSD if that helps.

I had never heard of an LSD as an option available with the 996TT, X50 or not, but believe I saw the same thread and wondered about it. It would be nice to know if this was ever an option between 2001 and 2005 but I'm guessing it probably wasn't.

It was possible to by a 22/27% lsd as an option in 04- and it's called ix75. You can also retro fit it.

I consulted a couple websites that are historically reputable w/regards to content. Neither of them mentioned an LSD option.

The 911 Turbo uses an all-wheel drive system based on a viscous multi-plate clutch located directly behind the front differential. Weighing only 120 pounds (54 kg), the all-wheel drive system in the 911 Turbo qualifies as one of the lightest such systems in the industry.

From all I've read about Porsche LSD's, they don't seem to last very long when driven hard. GT3 LSD's sometimes go out at 3000 miles and they are supposed to be track cars. Install the Guards unit if you want it to last.
