No, he's the second owner...very low miles...even the enzo only had a couple hundred (that's a sin if you ask me). He is not on this forum or any other forum...he's not a social networking guy.

From my understanding you did have to be a prior f-car owner.

A friend of mine who has been buying Ferraris for the last 25 years was told he could get an Enzo (by the Ferrari Factory), but only if he bought a 550 Barchetta... So he did. That Barchetta was a terrible Car.... My friend then kept the Enzo for three months and having paid around $650,000 for it, turned around and sold it for $1.2 M... Ferrari then blacklisted him from ever buying another new Ferrari (story as told to me by my friend). Poor Man now has to deal with the fact that he only has an F40, a 274 GTB and two F430's in his collection now... Life is tough, I tell you...

I spoke at length today to a ferrari dealer in connecticut, regarding the purchase of a 458 Italia. He told me several things and gave me a lot of advice. He lectured me on the importance of a relationship between client and customer. Firstly, he said he wouldn't sell to me, and referred me to the dealership in MA (area of interest or something like that). Of course, the proximity is based on the rapport factor. Secondly, he told that because I didn't have a ferrari, I would have to buy one on his lot before they would put me in contention for the italia. He tied that back to the relationship somehow...I forgot what particular point he made. Lastly, because I was inquiring about the price (which is still not released, so it's all here say), he gathered that I was "thinking" the price would appreciate and was looking to flip it. He then said essentially the same thing 80shilling said, which is he would never sell me another one again. It's one thing to buy a collector's item years after the fact, but to buy one and immediately flip would be a cardinal sin that they would not forgive.

So there it is.

Here are more pics of his garage. The F40 is still getting its engine rebuilt and he sold the F430 scuderia (he didn't like it). Rest of the cars are in Florida.
