Preparing the 996 for the mile.. New fuel system, dyno..
The air was pretty much still no head or tail, about 95 out and nasty humidity, last time I weighted the car pretty sure it was like 3300.
Don't forget guys that e85 runs really cold maybe Chris can chime in and came in handy I am sure in these conditions. It reduces the IAT big time and plays a great factor in this run. With taller tire Chris I think it would have been better also. Great run.
Congrats Chris, was fun out there today even though it was hot as all hell. With your car doing this in this heat, I can't wait to see what it will do in January. Definitely plan on having our ****box ready to run out there as well as it looked like a blast.
Congrats Chris!!! What size tires were you running and what do you think for next time? What was your limiter set at?
Ah, so it's your tire size. I should be good with stock tire sizes then. I ran 19's last year but ran with stock 18's in March.
I understand your car is a Tip, shouldn't you get to 220mph without problems with this tire size and RPM limiter..
Jean his car is still a 6speed. VividRacingTX is our local tippy.
Something still doesn't add up. We've done all the calculators including the one that predicted SW's speed vs RPM and it was .2mph off of it. It is saying a 315/25/19 is good for 217mph.

I believe Chris was running Nitto Invo tires, which at a 315/25/19 size have a diameter of 25.28 which may make up for the slight variance depending on how you determined the outer diameter.
Add to the theoretical calculations of the 6speed box another 2-3% of tire expansion at those speeds. The 25.28 diameter is quite consistent with the calculations, top speed at 7500RPMs is around 220mph.. At 7000 RPMs it is closer to 205mph.
