I heard K-16 turbos limit is 500HP.

Does that mean even I get 520HP from my mods(Fabspeed Sport and ECU) I only get 500HP with K-16?

I think the limit has more to do with the amout of pressure (BAR) the K16 turbos can make. I think the limit is around 1.2?

Sir, you sure know how to bring a smile to my face.

As for the K16 turbos only producing "X" amount of horsepower, it has to deal with both the amount of air that they flow (how many cfm's - I am still waiting on someone to produce the flow map for me) and at what point they are out of their efficiency range (where they cease the ability to hold boost at that particular RPM and the point at which the only blow "hot air" as well).

I am running 468RWHP @ only 0.9BAR
Don't need high boost to get high HP
Evan
PS-500-530 is about the limit or the K16's because thats about the most HP you can get out of the safe boost presures you can run on K16's (I think that makes sense )

The K16s peak at around 500hp...The k24s at around 600hp..however there are things that can be done so the spool up quickly with zero lag so the power comes on early... Who cares about peak hp

Correct. It is all about volume not boost. While they go hand in hand the K16s don't move as much air as the K24. They will create boost levels that are high, but also will create more heat and reduce power and cause the turbo to fall off. It is give and take. You move to a bigger turbo to move more air. The K24 moves more are than the K16 at the same boost level. The limit are around 520ish crank power. Lots of variables there, but that is pretty close. K24s are good for 600 and the others, well depends. We squeezed 800 out of my Garret/KKK hybrids. That is their max.
