My car reads 4 mph faster than reality at every speed. Tested with 2 different GPS units and it is consistently reading exactly 4 mph fast. I guess that means my miles on the odometer are actually higher than what has been driven, right?

I'm currently on stock rims / tires and my speed O meter reads 3mph faster. When ever I pass by one of those radar carts cops park / leave in the streets I can glance at the speed difference.

Sounds like its a common occurrence then. Doesn't concern bother you guys? Nothing that can be done to resolve it I assume then?

Mine is consistently off 4 mph as well--I've also tested with 2 different GPS and verified by driving behind my wife's MB. Her speedo said 70, mine 74

The only fix I came up with, and it seems to work perfectly...stop looking at your speedo!!!

Mulholland996TT is infamous around these parts
Lol. Mine is also 3-4mph higher at all speeds. I think I saw a TSB in my Indy's computer about it, but it is likely that it got swept under the rug by most if not all dealers.

Mine is 3-4mph off as well at all speeds, verified with 2 different GPS units. On a car this expensive, it pisses me off. My girlfriend's sunfire that is worth all of $700 manages to get the speed right, why can't my $130k Porsche? If I drive an average of 50mph on all my driving, then that's 6-8% mroe miles on the car than I've actually driven. I reallize all our cars seem to do it, but that doesn't make it ok; its annoying to always have to subtract the speed in my head 3-4 mph each time I see a cop and make sure I"m within 5mph of the speed limit.

My dads TT is usually 2-3mph off. Might want to get yours checked, 7-9% is very high.

Mine is : ( all MPH )
GPS reads 30......Car reads 35
GPS reads 50...... Car reads 53
GPS reads 70.......Car reads 71
GPS reads 80.......Car reads 78

So under 70 it reads Fast and over it stars to read slow. Any faster readings and I plead the 5th amendment.
Frank
