Curious what the group thinks this car is worth. IT has an accident on the Carfax saying it ran into a guardrail, will have it throughly inspected but its hard to get a market price when a car has been in an accident and there is nobody who will give you an honest answer about the damage done!

i looked at that car a couple weeks ago. He told me the accident was from the first owner spinning and hitting a highway divider. What turned me off was he told me "80% of GT2 have been wrecked..." i was like WTF?

i cant deal with know it alls...and liars. I'm just saying.

Two things bothered me about the conversation I had. One he never mentioned the damage until I mentioned it a bad indication. Two, instead of owning up to the damage history he said that it wasn't anything just a scratch that needed painting. Well there would not have been a police report if that were the case, and NO 80% of GT2's have not been in a wreck that's just crap.

You know that car was owned by a member of this forum. I was going to do some research and find out by who, but after the conversation i had with him i decided not to pursue it any further.

Its pretty stupid to throw around comments like he did, but if it helps him sell his car, i guess anything goes.

No, I didn't know. Do you remember his name maybe I can find his posts.

Also found a good looking guards red Turbo S cab with 36k. Wondering what it's worth (assuming it has no accidents :-). Was thinking 61-62?

Thanks

i dont remember the members name. What i was thinking about doing was doing a search of FOR SALE and GT2. I do remember he was trying to sell it. I also remember the car was based out of California before it was sold to the guy in Pahrump. It should be noted that the car does have a huge amount of mods and you'd be buying it at pennies on the dollar.

Another thing i noticed was that ebay is an excellent gauge of what wholesale prices of cars are. I know that sounds odd but its true. I've done tons of research and most of the time its pretty accurate. So go to ebay and see what they're going for and offer accordingly. I psudo low-ball when i buy, if the asking price is 50k, ebay price is 45k, i'd offer 41k and go up as needed. Just my .02...

Same problem with switchcars.com

I bought a Gt3 and ask them if any paint job was done? The answer was No.
I got the car tell them that i can see spray and they still told me to do not worry no paint job was done. I had it check by Porsche and the car was in an accident. Call them and they are telling me now that i should not have trusted them. Great. Good luck with switchcars.com it's like a box of chocolate you never know watch you gonna get...
Kind regards.
Stephane
