997 GT2 discontinued for 2010

I wonder if that will raise demand on all GT2 cars? looks like the GT2 goes away with the GT1 motor. No matter how stout teh new motor is, high compression is going to hold it back from a modding perspective.

I'm betting clean, low mileage GT1 engined cars will fetch a premium in 10 years...

They couldn't have sold more than a handful of the 997 GT2s

You have a source for this? I haven't found it anywhere else.

I would like if Porsche would make the GT2 more rare and only come out with it at the end of a product cycle and make it very hard core. Then make the 997 TT the dominator that it used to be and stop sugar coating it.

They might be skipping a year. This seems fairly common although I haven't heard anything about it yet.

This is certainly a possibility
