996 Turbo / GT2 Turbo discussion on previous model 2000-2005 Porsche 911 Twin Turbo and 911 GT2.

Evo or TPC SC on a 993 or 996. Will it run pretty close it a stock 993/996TT?

Just looking to dip my toes in the water before taking the plunge.
Also am taking advantage of the ongoing depreciation of the aforementioned TT's before taking the plunge this summer. Thanks for any feedback.

Do you already have a 993?

Hey, it works now! Am still contemplating the evo route vs buying a tt outright.

If you do decide todo the SC.. Go with the EVO over the TPC..
Better build and execution IMO

topspn is infamous around these parts
Evo SC

I have it in my '99 996 C4 Cab. Had a slight problem w/ car starting and w/ car lurching at 5000rpm. Todd remapped the ECU and now it works perfectly! Very linear power curve, almost feels like a N/A motor instead of forced induction. Supposed to be around 420 hp and although I haven't dynoed it, it feels like that's an accurate number. Definitely worth considering. I've been able to hang w/ several TT 996's, with the enjoyment of top down and about half the cost of TT Cab. Good luck.

Regards
