The difference seems to be that the car has less vertical motion.. I think that they support the weight of the car more and therefore maybe I'm getting less suspension travel. It remains to be seen if they will be better for track work overall, or maybe just for specific tracks.. I'm pretty sure I will go back to the 400lb Front, 600lb Rear setup for Sears/Infineon, unless testing proves otherwise. Laguna should be a 600/800 track, as should Thunderhill. Also, even though the swaybars are the same, I think the car has less give under side loads and cornering, but again, I'll only know for sure when I get out to the track.

I also think that the triple adjustables with the high speed compression adjustments are allowing the shocks to soak up the nasty surfaces and imperfections even though I have gone to a higher spring rate. More testing/driving on varied surfaces will tell me more this weekend (but it's raining all weekend here supposedly).

More updates to come after driving it some more.....

The Car is as close to perfect as I think it can be...

With the JRZ/Protrac triple adjustables and the geometry changes, it's brilliant on the street and a monster on the track... With the high speed rebound circuits, I can dial out all the harshness, but can dial everything back tighter for the track.

As it stands, I have gone back to 400/600 springs
-2.5 camber F
-2.2 camber R
1/16th toe out in front, 1/16th toe in rear
25 1/8 ride height in front, 25 1/4 in rear

With these settings, it's phenomenal for weekend drives in the twisties and is turning 1:37's at Laguna Seca... For MY tastes, it's a perfect compromise. If I wanted to be more track oriented, I would go to -3.0 front -2.6 rear.

Cheers...

was your time on street tires? if so, more power and hoosiers will definitely get you in the 1:20's. impressive for sure.

I'm pretty sure he was on hoosiers. And it will take more than just more power to get into the 1:20's at Laguna.

Yeah.. that's on Hoosiers... To get into the 1:20's I would have to strip the Car out to get it to 2500 lbs and run slicks... 1:20's is pure race Car territory.
